Detroit’s Dorais Velodrome bicycle racing track, like much of the city, laid abandoned for decades. Recently, a group of volunteers reclaimed it from the overgrowth and created the perfect place to race old motorcycles.
This rare find has also spurred local entrepreneurs to start up a racing series made for mopeds, scooters, road bicycles and mountain bicycles to takes place on the Dorais Velodrome. There first race will take place on Saturday, October 16th starting at 8:00am.
All profits from Thunderdrome events will be used to maintain and update Dorais Park and the Velodrome.
